The Helton/Hylton/Hilton Family History Society has been formed to to help family members around the world to increase their knowledge and understanding of their common ancestry. It provides a discussion forum for descendents of the family to exchange information and help establish their lineage back to the family who took their surname from the Heltons/Hyltons/Hiltons of Hylton Castle. As one of the oldest recorded families in the U.K. there are now hundreds of thousands of descendents of the family, many whom no longer use the family name ( i.e. descended from female members of the family). We'll try our best to help you trace your lineage back to the Heltons/Hyltons/Hiltons of Hylton Castle. Simply complete the application form giving brief details of your earliest known ancestor and where and when they lived. Read the BOOK; "The Hyltons of Hylton Castle" - The first book written for over 100 years, about what was once, one of England's greatest families and who went on to become the founders of New Hampshire in America in 1623. Accurately researched, it traces the descent of the family, generation by generation, from 1157 A.D. to the sale of Hylton Castle and the demise of the Hylton Estates in 1750. Read about their Viking? origins, the "Old Survivor" who outlived five English kings, the "Mad?" Baron who gave the Castle to the city of London, and William and Edward Hylton who rescued the Pilgrims who sailed on the "Mayflower". A fascinating story of a family who fought for freedom for centuries in England, only to find it in America. ORDER YOUR COPY HERE! Now
